It has been a “Medical Month” for the AsiaWorks Bangkok office.
April began with a trip to Laos for the GAVI Vaccine Alliance, which is a public-private global health partnership committed to increasing access to immunisation in poor countries. Producer Craig Knowles travelled with our cameraman “Toto” Theinsiri to illustrate the distribution of a vaccine for Japanese Encephalitis . After a few days in Laos the pair returned to Bangkok to edit the final product.
Meanwhile, our staff video editor Mikael Enlund was busy doing the initial edit for a mini-documentary in the effects of the Dengue virus for the pharmaceutical company, Sanofi Pasteur, with producer Ms. Ratchada Chitrada.
The medical ‘theme’ was disrupted briefly by a shoot for Al Jazeera’s “Listening Post” program. The shoot was shared between Marc Laban and Toto.
Marc & Toto teamed up again for a two camera medical shoot, using two Sony FS-7 cameras. They filmed at the Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn Hospital, where doctors and researchers took them through the steps of testing lung tissue biopsies. The film is part of a series called the ELECT online medical education program.
Meanwhile Mikael was putting the final touches to the Sanofi Pasteur mini-documentary on Dengue Fever.
