The series received recognition at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific, MARKETECH APAC Content Marketing Awards and MARKETECH APAC Advertising Awards, earning three Gold awards alongside Silver, Bronze and National Winner honours.

The awards include:

  • Gold – PR Awards Asia-Pacific – Financial Services / Banking
  • Gold – MARKETECH APAC Content Marketing Awards – Best Always-On Content Campaign
  • Gold – MARKETECH APAC Advertising Awards – Best LinkedIn Campaign
  • Silver – MARKETECH APAC Content Marketing Awards – Best Video Content Campaign
  • Silver – MARKETECH APAC Content Marketing Awards – Best Financial Services / Fintech Content Campaign
  • Bronze – PR Awards Asia-Pacific – Best Video Storytelling
  • Singapore National Winner – MARKETECH APAC Content Marketing Awards – Best Video Content Campaign

Developed in partnership with Mastercard APAC Communications, In the Loop set out to bring the credibility and authority of a broadcast newsroom to LinkedIn, creating an editorial platform that informs, educates and engages senior business audiences across the region.

Rather than following traditional campaign cycles, the series adopted a consistent, always-on editorial approach inspired by broadcast journalism, and presented on-camera by members of the Mastercard APAC Comms team. Featuring business leaders, innovators and industry experts from across Asia Pacific, In the Loop has become a flagship B2B communications platform for Mastercard.

The programme has delivered strong business and audience outcomes, generating:

  • 9.8 million impressions
  • 4.2 million video views
  • 42% average video completion rate
  • 4.5% click-through rate — around 15 times the financial services benchmark
  • 9% lift in brand favourability

For AsiaWorks, the recognition is particularly significant because it spans three distinct disciplines: public relations, content marketing and advertising, demonstrating the value of an integrated editorial and production approach to corporate and B2B communications.

“These awards are incredibly rewarding, but what makes them truly special is the partnership behind them,” said Andrew Clark, Partner at AsiaWorks.

“Mastercard trusted us to build and collaborate on something different: a video-first, strategic and editorial platform,  rather than a campaign. They gave us the freedom to bring together what we’re good at: creative storytelling, strategic communications and our specialism in digital video content creation. The recognition belongs to everyone who believed in the idea from the beginning.”

AsiaWorks worked closely with Mastercard throughout the development and production of the series, collaborating with LinkedIn and media partners to create a platform that continues to evolve.

But none of this would have been possible without the leadership and vision of the Mastercard APAC Communications team, particularly Sarah Guldin, Barkha Patel-Zinzuwadia and Dawn Yeo, whose commitment to collaboration helped shape the programme from its earliest stages.

“What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it has come from different disciplines, each looking through a different lens. Together, they reinforce something we believed from the outset: that corporate communications doesn’t have to choose between credibility and creativity.” – Barkha Patel-Zinzuwadia, Senior Vice President, Communications, Asia Pacific.

The recognition extended beyond the awards stage. LinkedIn’s Sumit Khanna, Director & Head of Global Strategic Accounts described In the Loop as a genuine gold-standard case study,” … “At a time when much of the industry was moving towards increasingly informal content, Mastercard made the opposite bet: bringing the authority, credibility and craft of a broadcast newsroom into the LinkedIn feed.”

As brands increasingly compete for attention in an AI-driven and content-saturated world, the success of In the Loop reinforces the growing importance of trusted, high-quality editorial storytelling that builds authority over time rather than relying solely on campaign moments.
